Honda: One to the Power of Four

This is actually old news, but something recently came up that reminded me of a project that I worked on while at the Honda Advanced Design Studio in Pasadena. The first assignment was to work on this concept called one to the power of four, a mega car that splits into four smaller cars to save energy. Some may be asking how that works. The big idea was a kind of organized ride sharing where the vehicles bond together when convenient and break apart when their routes go in different directions. Anyhow, this project was submitted for the Los Angeles Auto Show of 2007 and recently made its way into the June 2008 Dwell Architecture Magazine (pg. 189).
